Sariska poachers caught by CBI

CBI has arrested two alleged members of a wildlife poaching gang, wanted in number of cases related to killing of Tigers and Panthers including in Sariska Tiger Reserve in Rajasthan, from a village in Mansa district of Punjab.
The duo, Jeevan Das and Surta, active in poaching and killing of the wild cats at Sariska were evading arrest since 2005. They were caught with the help of local police, CBI sources said today.
"One is responsible for killing of seven Tigers and six Panthers, while the other is responsible for killing of one Tiger and seven Panthers in Sariska Tiger Reserve," a CBI spokesperson added.
A large number of cases are pending against them under Wile Life Protection Act in Alwar, Rajgad and Munsif court at Thana Gaji in Rajasthan.
